Water is often something that is taken for granted until we actually don't have it. Given the topic of today's blog action day - we wanted to give you a little insight into all the work that actually goes into getting fresh water into your homes with a little help from our Yorkshire spokes grannies Edna and Mary.

Some folk (we’ll name no names but she’s a thrifty granny with a penchant for headscarves and curlers!) ask us why we charge for something that falls free from the sky. Of course, the water itself is free. You’re paying for us to collect, screen, clarify and treat it to high standards and pump it to you.
